Telecommunications Interface Engineer (Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk region)

The large oil&gas company is looking for Telecommunications Project Engineer.
Responsibilities: Oversee the installation, commissioning and initial support of a fibre optic cable running from the south of the Island to the Onshore Processing Facility (OPF) and Offshore Platforms to the north of the Island – a distance of approx. 800 Km; the installation and commissioning of Telecommunication and SCADA hardware in the block valve shelters; construction work by the main OPF construction contractor as it pertains to Telecoms and SCADA installations; leasing with project QA and HSE for the regular inspection; work with pipeline contractor and staff to plan work on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to ensure Telecom contractor can work effectively and claims are minimized; provide weekly reports on progress and issues; join Team Teleconferences as required. (e.g. weekly). The equipment located at the OPF includes DWDM, Ethernet Switches, RTU’s, PBX, Satellite system, TETRA Radio system, PA&GA, aeronautic radio equipment, weather station, CCTV and access control.
Requirements: Higher education, fluent English, at least 3-years work experience of managing Telecommunications Projects and Contracts; Good knowledge of Telecommunications systems and HSE requirements. Ready for relocation.
